Hello World! It has been too long since we last spoke, and I’m sorry for that, please forgive me. However, I’m here again, and this time to stay!
I’m going to jump back into the grove of things by talking about one of my new favourite products I found while I was ‘away,’ the Tartiest Contour Palette. ‘Could this palette ‘be’ anymore amazing??’ Chandler Bing.

What Is It?

Tarte is continuing the contour trend, but making it easier with their “paint by numbers” techniques. The palette comes with 2 highlight shades, 2 contour shades, 1 corrector, 1 blush and one glow. Shade 1 is a pinky beige with warm undertones. Shade 2 is a yellow correcting powder. Shade 3 and 4 are the contour shades, 3 is for light-medium skin and 4 is for medium-deep skin. Shade 5 is a rosy blush, and then in the middle of the palette is a shimmer highlight.

How Does It Work?

Each of these shades are numbered in the palette in the order you’re supposed to use them in. Also included in the package is a small diagram with instructions on how to use the paint by numbers system. It maps out where every shade should be. For me personally, I reverse steps 1 and 2. I use the correcting shade before I highlight. I also mix the two contour shades to get the perfect balance for my skin tone.

Pros

This contour palette is super easy to use. It is also great for traveling because all the products are in one place! You don’t need to walk with 5 different products just for highlighting and contouring. The products all work together so it is easy to mix shades to get the perfect balance for any skin tone, therefore it’s pretty universal product.

 Cons

$54 (CAD) but you are getting all 6 shades. However, I hit pan very fast. I also don’t use the glow shade in the palette just because it isn’t the right glow for me. I love a more warm. bronzy glow.

Overall the Tarteist Contour Palette is one of my new favourite products. Ever since I bought it I haven’t touched any of my old highlight and contour shades (except for the Laura Mercier translucent powder, which I spoke about here x).
