Friday Favie- Laura Mercier Translucent Powder

IMG_1361

I have never really been into translucent powder, it never did anything for me. That’s probably because I never found a good one…until now! My sister was shopping for a translucent powder and came across this Laura Mercier one. She told me to try it and maybe I’ll change my mind about translucent powders. She was right! This powder is amaze-bubbles!

This powder is so soft and melts right into your skin. It is so silky and soft, it almost feels like cashmere for your face. It has a light-reflecting technology that blurs the appearance of fine lines and blemishes for a naturally photoshopped look. This is by far my favourite baking powder! It really lifts the under eye, which makes me look awake and refreshed even if that’s not actually the case.

I apply this after using the Anastasia Beverly Hills contour kit to set the highlight. It lasts all day and doesn’t absorbs any oil and sweat throughout the day. Flawless finish all day. I’m actually kind of upset that I didn’t find this powder sooner. It really changed my opinion on translucent powders. Before I would just set the under eye concealer and highlighter with a powder highlight from Anastasia Beverly Hills, but this powder feels so much better under my eyes. It doesn’t crease at all and reduces shine. Perfect for long days of wearing makeup without having to retouch anything.

Overall: Recommend

  • Long-lasting
  • reduces shine
  • flawless finish
  • soft and natural
  • perfect for baking
