I’ve been getting a lot of questions about my thoughts on Rihanna’s new makeup line “Fenty Beauty,” so I thought I’d share my opinion here. I ordered a few of her products online and tried the samples of them before purchasing.
Pro Filt’r Primer
The first product I tried was the “Pro Filt’r Primer.” The website claims it to be a “shine-stopping pore-diffusing primer.” It is an oil free primer that reduces the look of pores and texture (much like the Benefit Porefessional primer). I found the primer to be moisturizing but too lightweight. Instead of creating the perfect base for makeup application it absorbed into my skin like a moisturizer, and I didn’t notice a difference in the texture of my skin. Therefore I still used my ride-or-die primer (Benefit’s Poorefessional) over top. For the amount of makeup I wear and how long I need it to last this just isn’t the primer for me.
Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation
I also used the Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. It’s  a long wearing Foundation with buildable coverage. The oil-free formula is made with climate adaptive technology that is resistant to sweat and humidity. I love that the foundation lightweight, and because it’s buildable it gives medium to full coverage. Also, shoutout to Rihanna for having the most inclusive shade range of 40, yeah 4- 0, shades! Finally a more accurate representation. For me personally, the foundation wasn’t full coverage enough. However, it does make the perfect summer foundation when it’s humid outside and I’m going for the “no makeup” makeup look. The foundation also dries really fast. It started drying on my face before I could blend it out. This is definitely the foundation for you if you like wearing makeup but hate the feel of it, or don’t need full coverage. I am neither of those people, therefore this will be just an option for me and not my holy grail foundation.
Match Trio Stix
I purchased the match trio stix in the shade medium. It’s supposed to be a combination of a concealer, contour, and highlight shade. The concealer stick is perfect for any dark circles or pigmentation on me, and the contour stick is just the perfect warm tone. The highlighter stick isn’t as bright as a highlight that I like though. However, these products are SO creamy that they just glide on like butter. They blend out like a dream. I instantly fell in love and they’ve become part of my daily routine. Unlike the KKW beauty contour sticks these ones have so much product that it’s actually worth your $$$.
Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter
To finish off my makeup look I used the Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter in “mean money and hustla baby.” It’s a cream to powder highlighter duo. It ranges from subtle to a supercharged brighter-than-the-sun glow ( I’m looking at you “trophy wife”). The product is so creamy and extremely pigmented that it just melts into your skin. With an extensive shade range there’s a glow for every skin tone. I have literally nothing negative to say about this product except for the fact that I don’t need own EVERY single shade of highlighter from the collection! The “trophy wife” highlight has literally changed my life and is the only glow I use right now. It’s  become my holy grail instantly!
