Finishing a moisturizer is a bittersweet moment, because a) that means you loved it so much that you actually used all of it (and how often does that happen) but b) now you’re faced with the dilemma of either buying a new one or trying a new one (too many choices)! I decided to venture out from the Dior Hydra Life Close-Up Pore Reducing Pro-Youth Moisturizer (what a mouthful, I know) to the Bobbi Brown Hydrating Face Cream.
I have dry skin so I need something that is hydrating and that will last all day under my makeup. That’s exactly what this moisturizer does! It makes my skin feel soft and supple, creating a perfect base before my makeup application. It’s not a heavy moisturizer, which is perfect in the summer because I don’t like using heavy products on my face before they melt off in the hot summer heat. They claim that “a long-lasting cushion of humectants leaves skin smoothed and plumped, perfect for keeping makeup fresh and glowing,” which is true. My makeup does not look dry and flaky at the end of the day.
The formula is rich and has a floral scent which is refreshing. It also absorbs rather quickly into the skin. It doesn’t leave your skin feeling greasy but rather smooth and refreshed. Try it out for yourself and let me know what you think!
