The 700 Series
My favourite style is the 711. It’s slim through the thigh and hip, mid rise, with a contoured waistband. The 710 is a super skinny fit- like a legging. Personally, my calves struggle to come out of a 710, though all 700 series have some stretch in the fabric. The 721 fits like a 711 but it is a high rise.
The 300 Series
the 300 series is designed to smooth, enhance and shape, similar to spanx. For example, the 311 is a mid-rise skinny leg with medium to high stretch fabric. There’s a tummy-panel sewn into the waistband that prevents a “muffin-top.” The straight waistband also prevents pinching at the hip.
The 501s
The 501s are the bread and butter of Levi’s. It has been a popular men’s style for ages (hint- think of the jeans Joey and Chandler wear 😉). With the emerging trend of boyfriend jeans, Levi’s designed a 501 for women. It is definitely more feminine than the original men’s 501, and is slimmer along the leg. Depending on the look you’re going for, you would size up for a more relaxed fit, or size down for a fitted look.
