Hola lovelies! Happy Fri-yay! I hope everyone had a good week, and here’s to a great, relaxing weekend. Tomorrow morning we’ll be on a flight to Cali 🌴, which I’m super excited about! Today is just a relaxing day before our hectic travel schedule. We’ll be in San Diego for 2 days, then Palm Springs for 2 days, and Las Vegas. You’ll be able to read all about it in my travel section of the blog 😀.

Today for my friday favies I wanted to share my favourite poetry. I love Rumi. Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Persian poet and Sufi master was born 808 years ago in 1207, yet his poems are still popular today. “His poems expressed the deepest longings of the human heart for its beloved, for the transcendent intimacy which is the source of the divine,”(Deepak Chopra). Even though the poems have to be translated into English, and a lot of the time when something is translated it kind of loses something along the way, but these poems are still wonderful to read. I’m such a hopeless romantic and enjoy reading about love, passion and soul mates. So every time I’m in a book store I’m always looking for a new Rumi book to add to my collection.  My favourite poem to date is:

“The minute I heard my first love story,
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.
Lovers don’t finally meet somewhere.
They’re in each other all along.”
