Summer Skin Must Haves!

This week I was lucky enough to receive two new Neutrogena products in the mail to try. I used to use Neutrogena products when I was in high-school but had to stop because the parabens caused me to breakout. So I was hesitant to try these new products. Now let me start off by saying, even though I received these products in a PR package, my reviews will always be my TRUE, unbiased, opinion.

What Is It?

It’s a 2-in-1 facial cleanser that removes impurities and leaves the skin moisturized. It can be used as a face mask 3x’s a week or as a daily facial cleanser. It is oil free and non-comedogenic. It has a creamy, light texture that foams easily and is easy to spread. However, the packaging is nothing out of the ordinary for Neutrogena.

How Does It Work?

It contains Barriercare, which is a cleansing technology to help preserve the skins natural moisture barrier. It also contains salicylic acid to help unclog pores and hylauronic acid to maintain moisture.

Is It Worth It?

The cool thing about this product is that it has a minty, cooling effect which makes it refreshing. It is also easy to wash off, unlike those other clay masks that require tons of water and hard scrubbing to remove. After using the mask I instantly noticed a difference in my pores and my skin was immediately hydrated. I have dry skin so clay masks can be even more drying but this one was actually hydrating.

Overall, I’ve changed my mind about Neutrogena and I’m back on board! The product didn’t break me out and actually gave me a glow. Everyone knows I’m all about that glow life. Also, not to mention that Kerry Washington is a brand ambassador for Neutrogena and if it’s good enough for Olivia Pope then it’s good enough for me 😝.
