I’m sure by now your instagram feed has been blinded with glowing images and videos of Rihanna and her latest Fenty Beauty release, ‘body lava’. For good reason too. The two shades, ‘who needs clothes’ and ‘brown sugar’ look luminous on literally all skin tones. This product might possibly be the biggest hit of the season!
I already did a product review on her previous releases, which you can read here x. I loved her earlier products so I was totally thrilled when I saw that she was releasing a new product and just had to get my hands on it!
Looking at the packaging, it’s a sleek, glass bottle with a rose gold lid making it feel and look luxurious. There is also quite a bit of product in the package, therefore making it worth your dollar because a little bit will go a long way.
The product itself is a gel-based body luminizer that effortlessly glides onto the skin with the help of a kabuki brush. It leaves an extremely dewy, glowy finish that looks like you just stepped off a tropical beach and you drank 10 gallons of water. Many people find the product to be sticky, but I realize that as the day goes on the product does dry out a bit, making it less tacky. However, I personally don’t mind the tackiness because it’s very moisturizing. So not only was my skin glowing all day (even my boss noticed) but it was also hydrated. What better way to get a tan without the harsh UV rays!
